    Last year three Iranian Christians, Yaser Mosibzadeh, Saheb Fadayee and Mohammed Reza Omidi, were charged with consumption of alcohol for drinking wine during a communion service. After a court hearing on September 10, 2016 they were sentenced to 80 lashes each. An appeal hearing was scheduled for February 9, 2017.
