Virtually all the 50,000 copies of the acclaimed Millennium translation pocket New Testament, printed in January 2005, have now been sent out. We have been greatly encouraged by how receptive Iranians have been to receiving scriptures, especially inside the Iran region where we sent nearly 40,000 New Testaments.
One Iranian young man was given a New Testament in Istanbul, Turkey one Friday evening after two Christian workers shared the Gospel. He was grateful and said that he had wanted to learn more about Christianity. They invited him to church, and by the time the young man attended the Sunday service just 48 hours later, he had already read half of the New Testament! At the end of the meeting he gave his heart to the Lord and has been continuing in his faith since.
This is just one of many incidents showing how God uses His Word to change lives. We are currently printing another 50,000 New Testaments but realise that many more are still needed. We want to print 100,000 copies this year.
