The situation in Iran for western onlookers seems confusing and bleak. At Elam we are regularly contacted by Christians for guidance on how they can pray more effectively for the region and how as a local Church they can make a difference.
The truth is that despite the uncertainty and the persecution that casts its' murky shaddow God is at work in Iran. The church is growing with more Iranians becoming Christians in the last 27 years (since the Islamic Revolution) than during the entire time since Islam came to Iran 1,300 years ago.
Could you or your church consider praying for Iran in 2007? If you would like one of our staff to come to your church to tell you more about what the Lord is doing in Iran, and how your church can partner then please contact either of our offices depending on where you are in the country. Please contact Issa for the South of England on 01483 520966 or Matt for the Midlands and north on 07943 872431 matt@elam.com (UK visits) or 770 6648800 david@elam.com (US visits). Alternatively click here to be redirected to our church visit sign-up page.
Every month Elam sends out staff to churches to give talks, testimonies and audio visual presentations designed to help encourage Christians and stimulate prayer support for this strategic nation. Specially made handouts are also available to explain the situation in Iran, what Elam is doing and even a workshop for your Children’s Church.
Elam also provides basic training on Islam through 3 main seminars. These seminars were used this year at Spring Harvest for there program on Islam. If you are interested to have Elam come to your church to teach you the basics on the Islamic faith then please contact Matt Rogers on 07943 872431 or matt@elam.com .
