PART 1 - A Life in Darkness and a New Beginning.

I was born in England but returned to Iran at the age of 3 and grew up there. I came back to England in 1999 when I was 19 years old and managed to find work in a night-club. Life changed radically and I became intoxicated on worldly pleasures of drink, drugs and womanising. I lost my job and because of my many problems I remembered God and asked him to help. But I didn’t get any immediate answers.

A while later I met an Iranian who became my friend who asked me to come along with him to Church. I was reluctant, but I went, and when inside I was overwhelmed by the singing which made me want to cry. I told myself that I was being over emotional that it was just music and not God speaking to me.

Over the next few weeks I returned and was encouraged to read the Gospel of John. As I read, I felt the Lord taking hold of me and prompting me to follow Jesus as the only way I could be with God. I confessed my sin and let Jesus into my heart. Then I knew that I’d found the truth and my heart was at peace.

After I accepted Christ, the power of the Holy Spirit changed my life. I eagerly attended church every week, held Bible studies in my home and became involved in the work of the Iranian services. I began to feel that the Lord was calling me to serve him, and began praying about attending Bible College.
