Still being held - More needed prayer

Published: 05 May 2009

Maryam Rustampoor (27) and Marzieh Amirizadeh (30) are still being held in Evin Prison in Tehran. It has now been nearly two months since they were arrested by the authorities. Neither have been charged, but there is no doubt they are being held because both are witnessing Christians from Muslim background. This was confirmed when a prison official told them they should be executed because they are apostates.

This week they are facing increased interrogations. Both have been blindfolded while being questioned and have been seperated from each other. They are now in two different cells.

Please take time to pray for them and their safety this week. Pray they will sense the presence of the Holy Spirit with them at all times.
