Amir Javadzadeh, who co-hosts Elam’s popular evangelistic TV program in Persian ‘Healing For The Broken Hearted’, has been suffering with a severe back problem since April 2011 and is in need of much prayer. He is bed-ridden, experiencing intense pain, and at one point was on morphine for pain control for 10 days. After many tests he has been diagnosed with arthritis in the spine, which means the disk touches the nerve. Yet, he is still trying to serve those who are impacted by the TV show, and has been answering many calls from viewers. From his sick bed, Amir has had long conversations with a young Afghan man, who is close to making a decision to follow Christ.
