The Story Keepers is now available in Persian, ready for the nation of Iran!
We can learn much about Iran by looking at the children of Iran. Nearly 40% of Iran’s population is under the age of 18 – that is about 28 million children. According to Iran’s own Ministry of Health, over two million of these children suffer from depression - a staggering statistic that speaks much of the ills of the nation.
All born after the Islamic revolution, they have been brought up under the strict Islamic regime. Virtually all of them have never had the opportunity to hear the Gospel and to learn about the Jesus who welcomed children into His presence.
The "Story keepers" is an animated video series created for children that tells the story of Ben the baker, and his wife Helena, who are Christians in Rome at the time of the Neronian persecutions (64 A.D.). Ben and Helena have adopted four children whose parents were lost during the fires set by Emperor Nero. The hope-giving stories and parables of Jesus are told in the course of their exciting adventures, including the passion narrative from the Gospel of Mark.
The series consists of 13 x half hours of animated television and covers 47 parables and stories of Jesus.
Story Keepers was broadcast in the UK on the national ITV channel during a prime time slot at 10.15am on Sunday mornings. In the US Story Keepers is regularly broadcast on EWTN and Hallmark channels. For the first time ever, Story Keepers is available in Persian and will be broadcast on satellite TV into the Iran region.
