American-Iranian Christian Saeed Abedini was freed from prison on 16 January, after being imprisoned for over three years for his Christian ministry. He was released with three other American citizens, as part of a prisoner-exchange with Iran.
Fellow former Christian prisoner, Farshid Fathi, is in good health and is thankful for ongoing prayer as he rests and recovers following his release on 21 December 2015. He is continuing to pray for the future, following the five years he spent in prison for his Christian ministry.
The release of these two brothers is wonderful news. Let’s rejoice and continuing praying for them in this new chapter.
Sadly, the persecution of Christians and other minority groups continues in Iran. An estimated 92 Christians are currently behind bars.
- Adjustment to life outside prison for Saeed and Farshid
- Wisdom for future plans
- Christians and other prisoners of conscience still in prison
