In a nation where it is highly dangerous to evangelize and meet in fellowship with other believers, church planters and leaders have to be a special type of tenacious, prayerful, faithful and courageous person. These vital characteristics are consistently forged in human hearts by God’s hand, through the fire of Elam’s intensive training program. A recent graduate of leadership training said, "I have learnt not to be afraid of persecution that may come. I have to bear difficulties in order to be closer to Christ." Another reflected, “Even though there may be hardship and suffering where we live, I know that it is the will of God and I want to be there.” As the church in Iran continues to grow, it continues to need more and more courageous leaders to lead it forward. As long as more leaders are needed, Elam will continue to train them, and by His grace, we trust that God will continue to mold the students into courageous and faithful leaders of the future.
