These examples – there are many others – show that Iran’s justice system is out of control. It’s not surprising that ordinary Iranians feel that wherever they turn they could face life-threatening trouble. There are also unconfirmed reports that there is an increasing number of executions in Iran. The official number for this year is 600, they second highest in the world after China.
