About Iran 30

You are invited to join the global prayer movement for Iran.

Discover this spiritually thirsty land. Pray across 30 days. Transform the spiritual future of a nation.

Before the Islamic revolution of 1979, there were fewer than 500 Christians from a Muslim background in Iran. In 2020, many estimate there are a million or more. Despite severe persecution, the church is growing rapidly.

Prayer has been a vital part of the story of Iran’s church. In the 1950s a group of believers met every night for four years to pray for Iran’s millions. Today, as persecution continues, the need for prayer is as great as ever. With faithful intercession, Iran can become a strategic missionary-sending nation to the entire Middle East and beyond.

Iran 30’s short, easy-to-read prayer topics will help you play your part in the beautiful story God is writing for Iran and beyond.

When she arrived back home in Iran, her Muslim father, who is in his 80's, looked at her inquisitively. When she asked him what he was thinking, he said, "I am thinking about your God and the change I see in you."... Read more

After receiving a Bible for the first time, Maryam left a message for the person discipling her: 'I am forever thankful! You’ve made my heart so joyful! Thank you for this valuable gift! My heart is so happy!' There was overwhelming joy in her tear-filled voice. Maryam is just one of the thousands of new believers who have been discipled this year by another Iranian believer. She was able to... Read more

For the last several decades, Afghanistan has been a deeply hostile context for Christians from a Muslim background. It's very likely this will only increase under the new Taliban government. Even so, there is still a courageous Afghan church inside the country that is willing to risk persecution in order to reach and disciple other Afghans. We believe God will call more to this work in the weeks, months and... Read more

Nasrin was a devout Muslim woman, practicing Islam faithfully every day. However, she felt an emptiness that led her to pray, "I am trying to know you, but I'm not sure if you are real or not." She received no response. Later, still distressed, she remembered hearing about the power of the God of the Bible so she decided to pray to Him, "Please tell me your name. I want to know if you are real."... Read more
