Millions of Iranians have heard about Jesus, and again this week they will hear his name as they see Christendom celebrating Christmas. By far the best present any believer could send an Iranian would be a New Testament. For while most have heard the name Jesus, most will have never seen any Scriptures. But they would love to. There are countless stories of people being given one and they are overjoyed. Sometimes a family will take it in turns to read the one copy they have been given. The population of Iran is about 70 million. The literacy rate is about 85%, probably more. Hopefully soon the international church will be able to say she has supplied Iran with a million New Testaments. How good it would be if next year the figure was ten million.
