Over the past week, the Lord has ministered to the hearts of more than 170 Persian-speaking teenagers through residential retreats in the Iran region.

"They are a generation hungry for the Lord," reported one of the ministry leaders. "They arrived carrying many wounds and burdens but, as they've come with open hearts, the Lord has been at work beautifully among them."

The young people - refugees who hail from dozens of Iranian churches in the Iran region - revelled in the chance to gather as a big group. The two back-to-back conferences were marked by passionate worship, tears of repentance, inner healings and commitments to serve the Lord. Several youths were empowered to forgive deep wrongs, and so came to a new place of freedom.

"I believe the Lord wants to use this generation to help reach not just Iran but the wider Middle East for Christ," said one of the ministry leaders.

As the young people head home, please pray for:

• The young people to walk more closely with Jesus, and that they would indeed play a key role in how the Lord is at work in the region

• Strength and peace for some young believers heading home to non-Christian or hostile families

• The youth leaders in their home churches to have joy, stamina, integrity and wisdom as they serve these precious young people
