For the last several decades, Afghanistan has been a deeply hostile context for Christians from a Muslim background. It's very likely this will only increase under the new Taliban government. Even so, there is still a courageous Afghan church inside the country that is willing to risk persecution in order to reach and disciple other Afghans.

We believe God will call more to this work in the weeks, months and years to come. And so, now, more than ever, we need to stand beside these courageous believers.

In light of this, we recently committed to 40 days of prayer for the Afghan church. 

Many of you have followed along on Facebook as we've posted a specific prayer request and corresponding verse each day. We're in the last few days of this prayer initiative, but you can still pray through these posts on your own!
