As tensions rise following Israel’s attack on Iran, many are asking: How should we pray?

First, we pray for mercy—for the innocent, for families gripped by fear, and for those most vulnerable in both Iran and Israel. We ask for protection over lives and cities, and for comfort for all who are afraid.

Second, we pray for peace—that this conflict would be short-lived and that its resolution would not simply be a pause in violence, but a step toward real and lasting peace.

We also pray for the Church in Iran. For many years, the church has quietly grown in courage and love. In whatever new season Iran is entering, the church has a profoundly important task: to be salt and light, to care for the hurting, and to point all people to the love of Christ.

It is clear that Iran will be significantly impacted by these events. Please intercede with us, asking that any changes that come bring blessings to the people: more justice, more dignity, and more freedom. And we pray that the church, in the midst of it all, would be strengthened to serve with compassion, wisdom, and boldness.

Finally, through it all, we pray the light of Christ would shine more brightly and many would come to know the peace and salvation found in Him alone.

Lord, have mercy. Lord, bring peace.
