Persian New Year (Nowruz) is a beloved annual holiday that some 300 million people across the world celebrate on March 20th, including Iranians. It presents many Christians with opportunities to share the Gospel with extended family and friends, and can lead to testimonies like Ziba’s*:

Three years ago, Ziba received a Persian New Testament as a gift at Nowruz. She took it home but, having no particular interest, put it on a shelf and forgot about it.

Six months later, the little red book caught her eyes. She picked it up and started to read. Soon, she fell in love with Jesus and decided she wanted to follow him. Then, she began sharing her faith with her fiancé. In time, he too came to faith.

Today, they are members of a Persian-speaking church in the Iran region. They are being discipled and growing in their faith.
