International Day of Prayer for the Persecuted Church

Thursday, October 16, 2025

Sunday, November 2nd is the International Day of Prayer for the Persecuted Church.

This year, we invite you and your church to focus your prayers on young believers in Iran- those courageously following Jesus in one of the most challenging places to live out their faith.

Many young Iranian Christians have felt the strain of persecution — watching loved ones arrested unjustly, seeing their churches closed, or being forced to flee their homes and live as refugees. Yet even in hardship, their faith is unshaken, and their hope endures.

Please pray:

  • For strength for youth who have experienced or are experiencing persecution, that they would draw closer to God and find emotional, mental, and spiritual healing.

  • For comfort for families torn apart by persecution, that God would sustain them with His grace and bring them back together soon.

  • For flourishing faith for youth and young adults who have fled their homes, that they would grow strong in Christ and live beautiful, full lives in Him.

Because we believe deeply in the power of prayer, we’ve created a series of free downloadable resources to help you intercede for these young believers.

The resources—which include a prayer guide, slides, and prayer videos—were developed in collaboration with Elman, a young Iranian believer who, at the age of just 12, was persecuted for his faith yet stood firm. His story reflects the courage of an entire generation of Iranian Christians.
